How did 10-7 get started?
10-7 Fishing was started as a concept in later fall of 2022 by me and my few co-worker friends as an idea for a fun page to start to do and meet other first responders who fish. As it gained some traction we decided to make it into something that has a purpose. We found the common thread that most first responders really enjoy being on the water fishing, a place to actually… really… get to relax and destress.
Who is 10-7?
The 10-7 crew consists of myself a 12 year active deputy, my best friend from the local police department who is a 13 year active officer, Deputy K and 3 other Law enforcement friend with multiple years of service. All of which you see in many of our posts.
How did you begin to get the word out?
We then decided to start making some shirts and hats to sell locally to our coworker friends. People liked the shirts and logos… so I decided to start it as an LLC and began the online store to sell more nationally with 10% of every sale going straight to the charity of the month. Even though I formed us as an LLC we contribute almost all of our profits to first responder charities or events.
Aside from apparel, what are you doing locally?
We are currently using friends locally to take first responders out on the water about every other month which some of our profits go towards. We are also looking forward to working with a group from Missouri who is sending down two officers who were involved in a shooting to come hangout and fish with us in May.
